So, we met under the hot sun at Riverside Point,
we took a quick attendance and finally walked towards the Finishing line.
Well basically, I believe that our job was to clear the incoming rafts,
transport them onto the lorry and that should be about it!
Somehow, a majority of us were proven wrong.
Four
On our minds we went, ' no, I'm not going down!'
However, four guys - Wei Zheng, Steven, Yong Kiat & myself
finally went down into the SINGAPORE RIVER.
Not knowing what the freak we were supposed to do,
we took quite sometime to secure the first raft which came to our presence.
I supposed Steven had the clearest idea of what that Uncle wanted.
He swiftly guided the way, and within minutes, the first raft was hung mid-air,
and quickly onto land.
That was when the other guys and girls start getting busy,
shifting them from one point to the other.
More rafts approached us in the water,
the water tasted like salt,
the colour of it was disgusting,
the currents even brought in cigarettes boxes,
Gulp cups and even a bottle of new Mint Green Tea.
Staying in the polluted river was terrible,
hence THINK twice if you wanna pollute,
you never know when you might be in it.
Soon we had people throwing new bottles of Ice Mountain,
we had them to wash our faces, drink and all.
After all the rafts, we had platoons ( is that what it's called?) and power boats.
It was really tough for all of us, those on land and sea.
Having cuts which resemble the letter 'X',
sunburns which have turned us black, except me who turned red
and finally after close to four hours?
The four of us got onto land,
shower in 100 plus, ice mountain, anything you can find.
& head back to Poly Marina with Sheryle, Jing Xuan and Ayu!
Shower and all sorts,
after we came out from the showers,
the four of us were made to wash the boats.
YES! with your usual scrubs, sponges and soap water
we ended up having fun,
despite us complaining that it has exceeded our actual dismissal time.
& if any of you actually think JOEY is the quiet boy who sits in front,
you are wrong!
he went really wild and crazy when he had the hose with him.
